CHELSEA VS TOTTENHAM EPIC CLASH

Having surprisingly fumbled against Bradford in the FA cup and well beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in their last meeting, it is no doubt a time to recover or lose it all for good has come.
The capital one cup finals kicks off on Sunday and looks like it will be a clash to watch going by the never say die attitude that Chelsea has shown from the start of the season and the killer instinct that a resurgent Mauricio Pochettino side have began to show recently.
Normally it would look like a huge mountain to climb for a club that is seventh in the table to face the league leaders, but having climbed that mountain successfully before, it should not be so on a second journey because the climber already knows his way around.
That might be the reason for Spurs confidence. But would that be the case?
Lining up an army of world class players and a two time European champions league winner in Jose Mourinho makes any team stand among the best.
After the exit of Gareth Bale, Tottenham has struggled to identify a point’s man, Adebayo tried but could not fit into that shoe because of some issues with his attitude and so did Townsend. He has the power and the speed but his inconsistence limited him.
A new lease of life showed up in Harry Kane. His strength and precision is unrivaled by that of any other midfielder in the premier league and with the help of Eric Lamela, he had been able to marshal a devastating attack on all the opponents he played against and if fit, could be a threat to Chelsea’s Capital one cup ambitions this season.
Eric Lamela’s rabona goal made headlines but that was little to compare to what he could offer in the field of play on a good day. His tricky playing style and movement is unequalled and if he could find his boots on Sunday, he has the capacity to cause problems.
Chelsea may not be fortunate enough to enjoy the services of Nemanja  Matic because of his controversial suspension but Remires has proven over time that he is a big game player and might just be the key man to break down the rampaging Spurs.
The new man Juan Coudrado will be needed to run rugged from the right flank and to partner the menacing Edin Harzard when he runs from his favourite left flank. That way, they would be able to cut off the Tottenham duo.
It will be that kind of game where the wits of the coaches are brought to bear. The two coaches having shown their technical and tactical know-how over the years will have another platform to showcase their abilities once more.
Judging by the tight fixtures facing Tottenham, one would have a rethink about the quality that would be exhibited by the lily whites in Wembly.
The north London club is in the middle of a run of six games in seventeen days across three competitions and that is not a joke when you compare it to a Chelsea side that would be gifted an eight days rest before Sunday.  But they would not want to have that as an excuse.
The battle in Wembly will be fierce, Tottenham needs a win to encourage themselves while Chelsea needs to make a serious statement of intent. The die seems to be cast.
