The Big Brother Naija show brought a twist to the show during the last party held on Saturday.  Ozo and other evicted house mates where also invited.  At the party, Ozo ignored Nengi and went ahead to dance with other evicted house mates.  This development made Nengi cry bitterly and was only left with Laycon and the other remaining house mates to console her. A new COVID-19 mutation appears to be even more contagious, according to a study. Experts say it could be a response by the virus to defeat masks and other social-distancing efforts. Scientists in a paper published Wednesday identified a new strain of the virus, which accounted for 99.9 percent of cases during the second wave in the Houston, Texas, area, the Washington Post reported. The paper, which has not been peer-reviewed, said people with the strain, known as the D614G mutation, had higher loads of virus suggesting it is more contagious. Though the strain isn’t more deadly, researchers said it appeared to have adapted better to spread among humans. David Morens, a virologist at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the findings suggest that the virus may become more contagious and that this “may have implications for our ability to control it.” He said it’s possible that the virus had evolved to resist efforts such as hand-washing and social distancing.

Big Brother Naija lockdown housemate Kiddwaya on Tuesday intimated Ozo in a conversation that the winner of season 5 has been predetermined. Kiddwaya said this while having a conversation with Ozo about the final. Ozo had expressed concern about his nomination for eviction this Sunday and hoped that he would make it to the final week. Kiddwaya while advising him, said he believes in fate and is not worried because he knows that the winner of this year has been predetermined. “For me being in the final week is better than spending 9 weeks here. “I believe in fate and I know that whoever is going to win is already pre-determined,” he said.

Biggie, said to Erica on her disqualification: “Your action demonstrated disrespect for Biggie house rules despite the responsibility as Head of House to lead by example."  Some minutes after her disqualification, Erica’s fans, known as Elites, started a fundraising campaign for her on a popular platform, Go FundMe, and in lesser than 3 hours after the launch of the campaign, more than $9,000 has been raised as at the time of writing this Report. A man mistakenly blew up part of his house in France while trying to kill a fly. The man, who is in his 80s, was about to settle for his dinner when he became irritated by a fly buzzing around him. He picked up an electric racket designed to kill bugs and started swinging at it, but a gas canister was leaking in his Dordogne home. A reaction between the racket and the gas caused an explosion, destroying the kitchen and partly damaging the roof of the home in Parcoul-Chenaud village. According to local media, the unnamed man had a lucky escape, sustaining just a burn to the hand. the fate of the fly is not yet known. He has since checked into a local campsite while his family repair the house.

 A Japanese company has announced the successful test drive of a flying car. Sky Drive Inc. conducted the public demonstration on August 25, the company said in a news release, at the Toyota Test Field, one of the largest in Japan and home to the car company's development base.
