Certificate for sale

A pathetic event occured recently in a certain part of the country which vividly depicts the situation in a country that is cooking up it's end.

It might sound unbelievable but that is a quintessence of what is on ground in our great country. Youths getting frustrated, crime being glorified, hardwork being virified and lawlessness becoming a thing of pride.

Graduates being asked to think outside the box, to be job creators and not job seekers in an unhealthy economy, harsh economic environment and no enabling environment for sole proprietorship to thrive. When this young people break out in all these and take the bold step to stand on their own, the same government that encouraged them to start, comes and cripple them with harsh policies. Let's now look at the topic of the day.

Below is an article of a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in Enugu state who has put his two important certificates up for sale due to his inability to secure a job after years of schooling and completing the compulsory national youth service.

The young man identified as Godwin Joseph Ochie, took to his Facebook page early this week to put up his Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree and National Youths Service Corps certificates for sale.

According to him, the two certificates don't work in this part of the world (Nigeria).

It's gathered that the young man graduated from the department of Political Science with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) since 2010 and was issued hi certificate since 2012.

He went further to complete the mandatory NYSC service in 2012 which he commenced in 2011. It's also learnt that he was once a beneficiary of the N-Power scheme which was dissolved last month.

Where will this journey lead us?
