Alexis Sanchez Unvails Statue of himself

Image
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been immortalised in statue form by his home town of Tocopilla in Chile. The 28-year-old is one of his country’s finest sporting exports, having graced the very top of the game in Europe with the Gunners, Barcelona and Udinese. He is also a centurion at international level, with two Copa America titles helping to enhance his standing on that particular stage. The hard-working frontman is, however, assured of legendary status in his homeland and is grateful to all of those who have taken the time to recognise his achievements. As a hero to millions around the world, Alexis has now been honoured with his very own tribute in the town square around where he grew up. The man himself was on hand to help with the unveiling, with Arsenal’s 22-goal leading marksman currently away on international duty . There are lots of clubs that can give him great opportunities...Simeone

Giovani Simeone  Giovanni Simeone has been impressing in Serie A with Genoa, but his father will not be looking to add him to his ranks at the Liga heavyweights Diego Simeone is a notoriously tough man to please and the Atletico Madrid boss has explained why he will not be signing his son Giovanni. It may appear as though the Argentine is looking to impart some tough love on his offspring, but he insists that is not the case. Giovanni Simeone has been impressing in Serie A with Genoa this season, netting 11 goals in 28 appearances. That is considered an impressive return for a 21-year-old forward taking in his first season in Europe following a move from River Plate. It is, however, not enough to convince his father that it would be worth bringing the family together on a professional level. For the Atleti boss, working with his son would be too emotionally draining, with the potential there for him to be put in difficult situations that he does not want to face. Si

Iwobi Questions Impatient Fans

Image
Alex Iwobi has branded Arsenal supporters calling for Arsene Wenger’s head as “impatient” and urged them to show the Frenchman “more respect”. The under-fire Gunners boss has seen calls for him to stand down at the end of the season intensify amid a testing run of results. Struggles on the field have heightened the unrest in the stands, with certain sections of a disgruntled fan base taking to the streets and sky with their protests against the current coaching regime. Wenger, though, has remained dignified throughout and attempted to steer clear of further fanning the fans by announcing a decision on his future. He has, however, admitted to having made a call, as his current contract at Emirates Stadium runs down. Iwobi believes the long-serving manager should now be given space in which to do his job, with the actions of a minority doing little to aid the greater collective cause. He told the Daily Mail: “They need to have a bit more respect, in my opinion. “I mean

Tidal waves helped find missing doctor's body

Image
Insight have emerged on how the body of Dr Allwell Orji, who drowned on Sunday, was recovered. It was gathered that the body of the deceased medical doctor was washed ashore by tidal ways, after three days, when he jumped into the lagoon. The General Manager of Lagos State Waterways Authority, LASWA, Bisola Kamson, confirmed on Wednesday that the tidal waves aided the body recovery. The LASWA boss stated that a wave on the lagoon currently moves towards the CMS axis, hence the aggressive search for the body of the late doctor along the axis since the tragic incident. Kamson also said: “Since the recent development and tidal waves of the lagoon towards Elegbata, CMS axis of the Marina, we had intensified the search around that axis.” She continued that “That is where tidal movement moves towards. So any drop from the scene of the incident would move towards CMS Elegbata axis. “Our monitoring team are now from water.” Kamson also said “We had local divers who also worked in

Man got pregnant and gave birth to his daughter because his wife could not get pregnant

Image
A while back, the news of a pregnant man who eventually gave birth to his child made headlines. The man has now revealed how he carried and gave birth to his daughter and the reason why he did that. Chris Rehs-Dupin, 33, made for a unique sight when he sported beards and a protruding belly that could not simply be explained off as a beer belly. He carried the pregnancy to term, gave birth and even breast-fed her and his reason for going through all that is because his wife could not get pregnant. Chris had been born a female, Christina. He then met his wife Amy, 33, when they were both in their 20s and working at a children's summer camp and they fell in love immediately. They got into a civil partnership in October 2012 and legally married in 2013 then decided they wanted a family. The plan was for Amy to be the biological mother but after five attempts of intrauterine insemination failed, Chris, who was at the time a pre-op transgender, volunteered to carry their child.

Former Russian Lawmaker Killed in Kyiv

Image
Former Russian lawmaker Denis Voronenkov was shot dead in Kyiv Thursday in a likely contract killing ordered by Russia, Ukrainian police said. Voronenkov fled to Ukraine last year, fearing for his safety and testified in a treason case against Ukraine’s pro-Russia former president, Viktor Yanukovych. Ukraine's general prosecutor, Yuriy Lutsenko, said Voronenkov’s testimony in the case likely led to his death. "In broad daylight in the center of Kyiv, former Russian lawmaker Denis Voronenkov was shot,” Lutsenko said. “He had provided investigators of the military prosecutor's office with highly important (witness) testimony for the case. This was a typical show execution of a witness by the Kremlin." Police said Voronenkov was standing outside a hotel in central Kyiv when the assailant shot and killed him. Voronenkov’s bodyguard was also wounded, but returned fire and hit the gunman. Both men are now hospitalized, police said. Ilya Ponomarev, another for

During the Eid-el-Fitr of 2009, Musa on his way to the prayer ground was involved in an accident in which his penis was severed. He was first treated at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria before he was referred to an Egyptian hospital where a new penis was developed for him. At the first surgery, the Egyptian doctors molded the manhood by extracting muscles from Musa’s thigh and arm. The manhood was planted beneath the position of the severed penis and was nursed for nine months before it was removed and planted in the original position. Many residents of Zaria and other Nigerians doubted the possibility of Musa’s coming back to his normal sexual life with artificial manhood, but that doubt was cleared last week when Salamatu Maharazu, Musa’s wife, gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. The excitement on Musa’s face was infect

Did Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner Just Hint at a Release Date for Kanye West's Latest Sneakers?

Image
Both Kardashian, 36, who's been married to West since 2014, and her model sister, 21, took to their personal Snapchats to share photos of themselves wearing West's latest shoes — the Calabasas x Adidas "Powerphase" sneaker. While the mom of North, 3, and Saint, 15 months, snapped her pic inside a car, Jenner chose the slightly artsier backdrop of a rainy sidewalk. While neither of the  Keeping Up With the Kardashians  stars gave any more information, with both ladies out and about and rocking the styles — and so close in time to one another — we're guessing the sneakers could be arriving in stores very soon. The kicks, which the rapper, 39, has been seen sporting on more than one occasion, are quite different than West's usual fare. While the Yeezys tend to be a hightop style with futuristic flair, the Calabasas sneaks are white, low and understated, featuring just a teeny "Calabasas" logo in gold lettering on each side as an accent. There&#
