Emenike
Emmanuel Emenike arrived Athens Tuesday morning ahead of completing his transfer to Greek champions Olympiacos, which it was gathered will be for two years with an option for an additional year and it is worth two million Euros.
His transfer will go through if he passed a routine medical after both Fenerbache and Olympiacos agreed a transfer fee of 2.5 million Euros.
He landed by 8.30 am from Istanbul, Turkey.
A top source said that he was a day late because some paper work needed to first be sorted out.
Expectations have reached fever pitch as the whole of Greece has stood still for the arrival of Emenike.
The local sports papers have given prominence and space to the transfer of the 30-year-old Nigeria striker, who struggled for game time in Turkey last season.
Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has tipped Emenike to be a smash hit at the perennial Greek champions if he is properly handled both on and off the pitch.
Rashidi Yekini, Haruna Babangida, Michael Olaitan and most recently Brown Ideye have featured for ‘The Reds’.
